Philipp Reitz – Chief Financial Officer
With a Master’s in Mechanical Engineering focused on medical technology and production management, Philipp brings a unique blend of technical depth and business acumen. His experience spans from product development through manufacturing to commercialization. Working along the entire vlaue chain provided him with a holistic understanding of how medtech products are built and scaled. Combined with his analytical rigor and expertise in process engineering, controlling, and strategic planning, Philipp delivers the financial clarity and operational discipline needed to guide Simultare from early-stage innovation through scalable growth, ensuring technical ambition aligns with financial reality at every stage.
Paul Benz – Chief Technology Officer
Paul is completing his Master’s in Mechanical Engineering at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), specializing in AI and medical applications. During his final semesters, he immersed himself in neuro-symbolic AI and is writing his Master’s thesis on this topic in collaboration with the Fraunhofer Institute. This deep expertise in the exact technology powering Simultare’s Anatomy Engine, combined with his engineering foundation and research collaboration with one of Europe’s leading applied research institutions, positions Paul to translate breakthrough AI concepts into robust, scalable medical technology solutions.


Anne Benz – Chief Operational Officer
Anne brings strategic operational expertise spanning product development, business development, and integrated management systems. Her cross-functional skill set combines technical project management with stakeholder engagement across multiple organizational levels.With international experience across Europe Canada and India, she excels at translating complex technical innovations into executable business strategies. Anne’s strengths in systematic process design, partnership development, and go-to-market execution ensure Simultare builds robust operational foundations while maintaining the agility needed for rapid scaling in the competitive medtech landscape.
Simon Matern – Senior AI Engineer
Simon brings deep technical expertise spanning computer vision, machine learning, and modern AI systems. His research-driven skill set combines advanced algorithmic development with practical problem-solving across complex visual and structural tasks. With broad experience in image processing, knowledge graphs, and data-driven modeling, he excels at translating cutting-edge AI research into robust, application-ready solutions. Simon’s strengths in analytical reasoning, systematic experimentation, and cross-domain integration ensure Simultare builds technically rigorous AI foundations while maintaining the innovation speed needed to advance simulation-based surgical training in the competitive medtech landscape.
